Gears 5 is part of the Gears of War saga and follows in the footsteps of its predecessor by offering a great campaign and competitive multiplayer. It is placed among the best games and applications of this genre, and now it opens this universe to another dimension. In its previous titles the objective was clear, to reach the end of each of the screens by killing all the bugs that came within range in an endless corridor and that rarely raised the doubt of choosing between one path or another, but In Gears 5 this changes, now we can move freely from one place to another increasing our level of slaughter. From the beginning, you play as Captain James Dominic Fenix, known as "JD", although for most of the time you will play as the Kait, who we already saw his appearance in the previous version of this series.

This hit series was always known as a good campaign game, with a good story and lots of action, but I know it's even better. Thanks to new mechanics that we haven't seen before, you'll be able to see bigger sections of the map than before, where you can uncover more objectives or find some relic weapons and things like that.

This world has four levels: two linear, in which you will have to walk down a corridor and another two in which The Coalition gives us the freedom to explore the map it offers us without any kind of restriction. For this we will have help, to travel it without problems, you have the skift vehicle to travel and drive, a special vehicle in which you can climb up to four players and with a control that makes it very fun.

Going from one target to another from the beginning is fun because you have a really crazy vehicle, but then you can start to get bored. But don't worry, it's still about the war, he will find some cool enemy types and you can challenge him, that depends on the difficulty mode you choose. Simply put, you could have everything in one player.

In these two open events the objective will be to fulfill the main and secondary missions that are presented to you. You will find the first ones on the map, but the second ones you will discover as you progress on the map, but don't worry, they are easy to find.

You will have the help of Jack, a robot with special abilities that will be very useful to you, such as turning invisible or finding weapons and ammunition that are out of your ratio. You can use all this at any time and in some areas it is essential to overcome them. One of its advantages is that if in combat it does not receive orders, it will work automatically helping you with the enemies.

You just have to find the game mode that suits you best, just like you can play slow and discover all these objectives or just go fast through the story, it all depends on you. It doesn't matter how you do it and it doesn't really have an effect on the main story.

But if teamwork is your thing, I'll introduce you to the multiplayer game mode. Gears 5 has many modes for group play. There are modes like in previous versions, but also new ones like Escape and Arcade. In the well-known Horde Mode, you have a team consisting of five players and you have to try to survive 50 waves of enemies to win. You can choose from one of the many maps that are presented to you. The next mode is Escape, totally new, a mode is for three players and your task is to fight to get out of a building full of critters and that is filling with poison at times. One of the advantages of this mode is to be able to edit and share the map with the rest of your colleagues, with which you will be able to see how it evolves from the original to the craziest creations.

These two are probably the most played, but there are some that serve you in the classification such as King Of The Hill, there you must capture and keep the objective to win. Another is Ranked Games against players at the same skill level to earn weekly rewards.

Gears 5 is a really good third person action video game where you will gain a lot of experience. It is definitely one of the best titles and that lovers of the saga will enjoy without a doubt.
